Pankewich-Neuman Memorial

Extreme Hockey Regina Capitals and Traveland RV Storm are pleased to announce the Pankewich-Neumann Memorial Classic which will start as part of the 2014/2015 Prairie Junior Hockey League (PJHL) season.  The Pankewich-Neumann Memorial Classic will be staged over the course of back to back home games between the Capitals and Storm Saturday February 7 and Sunday February 8, 2015.

Terry Pankewich and Gus Neumann are individuals with long storied histories with each franchise who succumb to cancer in 2013 and 2012 respectively.  The purpose of the Pankewich-Neumann Memorial Classic is to raise funds for the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency. Proceeds from both PJHL games gate receipts and associated fundraising efforts will be donated in their memory.

Capitals Governor Jeff MacPherson adds “We feel the Pankewich-Neumann Memorial Classic is the least we could do to honour those who have given so much to each franchise.  We would like the classic to become a marquee event on the PJHL calendar to help shut out cancer.”

Saturday February 7th the Traveland RV Storm host the Extreme Hockey Regina Capitals at the Pilot Butte Recreation Centre in Pilot Butte at 7:30pm.  Sunday February 8th the Extreme Hockey Regina Capitals host the Traveland RV Storm at the Al Ritchie Arena at 2:15pm.
